Nagasaki University (長崎大学 -daigaku?) is a national university of Japan located in the city of Nagasaki, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. Its nickname is Chōdai (長大). Established in 1949, Nagasaki University is the successor to an institute for medical studies established in 1857, and incorporated several other institutions into one institution.
